SYP Stable Against USD; Gold, Crypto Decline
The Syrian Pound remained stable against the US Dollar today. Gold and major cryptocurrencies saw declines, while other currencies showed mixed movements against the pound.
US Dollar Exchange Rate
The Syrian Pound held steady against the US Dollar, with the rate at 131.95 SYP per USD. The buy rate was 131.7 SYP and the sell rate was 132.2 SYP. The SYP's value against the dollar has been flat over the past two weeks.
Other Major Currencies
The Syrian Pound weakened slightly against the Euro, with the EUR/SYP rate at 152.3. Over two weeks, the pound weakened by 0.1% against the Euro. In contrast, the pound strengthened against the Turkish Lira, with the TRY/SYP rate at 2.725, representing a 0.4% strengthening over two weeks. The Saudi Riyal also saw the pound strengthen by 1.0% over two weeks, with the SAR/SYP rate at 34.64.
Gold Prices Decline
Gold prices saw declines across all karats. Gold 24K was quoted at 143 USD per gram, down 3.0% in 24 hours. Gold 21K was 125 USD per gram, also down 3.0%, while Gold 18K was 107 USD per gram, declining by 3.1% over the same period.
Cryptocurrency Market
Major cryptocurrencies experienced a downturn. Bitcoin was trading at 78013 USD, a decrease of 1.9% in 24 hours. Ethereum also fell, quoted at 2449 USD, down 2.5% over the past 24 hours.
