2. Data Collection and Processing
When you visit our website, our web servers temporarily store connection data, including the IP address of the requesting computer, the date and time of access, the name and URL of the accessed file, the transferred data volume, the access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.), the identification of the browser and operating system used, and the website from which access occurred.
This data is processed for the purposes of enabling the use of the website (connection establishment), system security, technical administration of the network infrastructure, and optimization of the internet offering. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interests).
If you subscribe to our WhatsApp daily rate digest, we store the phone number you subscribed from, your chosen language, and the times a digest was sent. You subscribe by messaging us on WhatsApp, and that message is the consent record — the legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Send STOP at any time to unsubscribe; we keep the record marked as withdrawn so we can evidence when consent was given and ended, and delete it on request. Messages are delivered through WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. and are subject to their privacy policy. We never send marketing to a number that has not subscribed.
3. Purposes of Processing
We process personal data for the following purposes:
- Provision and operation of the website and its services
- Processing of orders and invoices (billing)
- Customer communication via email and contact forms
- Sending newsletters and marketing communications (with consent)
- Compliance with legal obligations
- Fraud prevention and security
5. Analytics and Third-Party Plugins
Our website uses one third-party service, and only after you consent:
- Google Analytics 4: Usage analysis with IP anonymisation, to understand which pages are actually used. Loaded under Google Consent Mode v2, so no identifier is stored before you accept. Data transfer to Google LLC (USA). Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
We run no advertising, conversion tracking or social-media plugins. You may withdraw your consent at any time via “Cookie settings” in the site footer; withdrawal takes effect immediately.
6. Data Storage and Security
We store your data on secure servers located within the European Union. We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, destruction, or alteration. Data transmission is encrypted using SSL/TLS technology. Despite our security measures, transmission of data over the internet carries inherent risks that we cannot fully eliminate.
7. Hosting and Service Providers
Our website and business systems are operated using the following hosting services:
- Odoo: ERP and CRM system for customer and business management
- WHMCS: Client management and billing for hosting services
- WordPress: Content management for the public website
These providers process data as data processors under data processing agreements pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
8. Retention Periods
Personal data is deleted or anonymized as soon as it is no longer needed for its original purpose. Statutory retention obligations (e.g., for invoices: 10 years under German tax law) may require longer retention. Data processed based on consent is deleted upon withdrawal of consent, unless a legal basis for further processing exists.
9. Your Rights (GDPR)
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:
- Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR): Request information about your stored data
- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): Request correction of inaccurate data
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR): Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR): Receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Right to withdraw consent (Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR): Revoke consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing prior to withdrawal
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The competent authority in Baden-Württemberg is the Landesbeauftragter für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg (LfDI BW).
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our data processing practices or applicable law. The current version is always accessible on this page. We recommend reviewing this page periodically. Significant changes will be communicated more prominently.
